Welcome to my Palace
Description
I had the chance to capture this moment at Amber Fort, one of Jaipur’s most iconic and historic sites. This photo shows the first courtyard of the fort—a space that holds a deep sense of history and cultural significance. As I walked up the grand stone steps, the earthy tones of the fort's walls stood out beautifully against the clear blue sky. A newlywed couple caught my eye—dressed in traditional attire, the bride in a vibrant orange saree and the groom in a classic black suit. Their presence added a lovely contrast, reflecting both tradition and modernity.
Amber Fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, is renowned for its impressive architecture and intricate carvings. It’s easy to see why it’s a favorite spot for wedding photographs—the setting is naturally majestic. The view over Maota Lake brings a gentle calmness, especially under the warmth of the Indian sun.
Wandering through the fort felt like stepping back in time. Every corner seemed to echo stories of royal life and heritage. Perched on the Aravalli Hills, the fort offers sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. In that moment, I felt quietly connected to the layers of history woven into this extraordinary place.
